The meeting, which was held even as the one-day match between the two teams was in progress, was believed to have been a cordial one, with Bukhatir again expressing his desire to settle the prickly issue out of court, highly placed sources said in New Delhi on Tuesday.

However, the channel's representatives have not contacted either Prasar Bharti or the I&B ministry with any fresh proposal till Tuesday, they added.

Meanwhile, a Prasar Bharti spokesperson said the corporation has already deposited the entire Rs 50 crore (Rs 500 million) which the Supreme Court had asked it to deposit, ahead for the final hearing on this issue on April 15.

However, he declined to comment further on the issue. Ten Sports and Prasar Bharti locked horns over telecast rights for the ongoing series, with the sports channel initially refusing to part with these rights.

When the matter went up to the Supreme Court, the apex court directed Prasar Bharti to deposit Rs 50 crore with it while asking the channel to give DD live telecast feed for all the matches in the current series.
