The Cable Operators' Distributors Association on Friday said they will black out Ten Sports through their cables but this will not affect the cricket fans in Mumbai as Doordarshan was likely to telecast the Indo-Pak Cricket matches.
The cable operators will continue their protest against the Ten sports for its demand to ask six times more membership for the next one year on the pretext of telecast of Indo-Pak matches, CODA member Ganesh Naidu said.
Although they have not increased the rate per connection, the operators wanted almost six times more which may not be possible, and "also this amounts to a kind of blackout," Naidu said.
