Tata Power may cut power tariff

Welcoming the customs and excise duty cuts by Centre, the Tata Power Company [ Get Quote ] said it expected five paise per unit reduction in its power tariff in February.

"We expect a five paise reduction in power tariff of TPC by February in line with the reduction in import duty on coal," a company official said.
