The bank bought the call centre equipment from BNP Paribas some three months back, a bank official said on Friday. However, he refused to divulge the cost of the transaction.

These new services would also be introduced in other locations such as Pune and Delhi in phased manner, he added.

Some of the other new services are cheque status, bill payments, dial-a-draft and instant statement by email, it added.

IDBI Bank managing director and CEO G V Nageswara Rao said these new features would be of great convenience to customers on the move.
