Convention centres to be set up in Delhi, Mumbai

The government has decided to set up convention centres in metropolitan cities of Delhi [ Images ] and Mumbai [ Images ] and one each in states of Goa [ Images ] and Rajasthan [ Images ].

Announcing this in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Jaswant Singh [ Images ] said with this, Goa will have suitable facilities for holding international film festivals.

In order to make the effective use of Jaipur [ Images ] convention centre, the airport in the Rajasthan capital will be converted into an international airport, he said.
