Bollywood's leading actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai has been the official brand ambassadress for De Beers diamonds in India, marketed under the brand 'Nakshatra' (group of stars).

South African mining conglomerate De Beers has promoted Nakshatra as a classical diamond jewellery brand.

'Ash' has also endorsed for Longines watches, Coca-Cola, Lakme, Casio pager, Pepsi, Philips consumer durables, Sheetal dresses, Pamolive, Prudent, Lux soap and Fuji Films.

She was a jury member at the recent Cannes Films Festival where she also did a shoot for Revlon to endorse its products.
