The Cabinet Committee on World Trade Organisation on Friday gave final touches to India's strategy for the Cancun ministerial which meets in the backdrop of North-South divide on crucial issues like agriculture, market access on industrial products and Singapore issues.
The meeting on the Cabinet committee, which was presided by the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, also gave directions to the Indian negotiating team led by Commerce and Industry Minister Arun Jaitley.
The meeting, which lasted for over an hour was updated by the commerce ministry officials including commerce secretary Dipak Chatterjee and additional secretary S N Menon on the revised draft text for the ministerial on which the negotiations will take place.
