Three days after the Maharashtra government expressed satisfaction at the hygienic condition being maintained at the manufacturing unit of Cadbury, 10 bars of allegedly worm-infested chocolates, were sent on Monday to the laboratory in Mumbai for testing. The brand of these chocolates was not disclosed.

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Adminsitration sources told PTI that the infested chocolates from a shop at Kurla in Central Mumbai, was handed over to police, who in turn deposited them with FDA at around 3:30 p.m.
The infested chocolates were found to have holes in them, they said, adding that they have been sent for testing in FDA testing laboratory at Dadar in Central Mumbai.
Maharashtra Minister of State for Food and Drug Administration Anil Deshmukh on October 10 said that the Cadbury company has maintained the hygienic standards at its manufacturing unit but any decision of prohibiting of its sale on seized stock would depend on the court order.
