Railways plan to complete 9 new lines

The Railways propose to complete 225 kms of 9 new lines in 2003-04, Railway Minister Nitish Kumar said while presenting the Railway budget in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

The lines to be completed in the next fiscal are Panvel-Karjat, Sasaram-Nokha of Ara-Sasaram, Kakdweep-Namkhana of Lakshmikantapur-Namkhana, Bajalta-Udhampur, Una-Chararu Takrala, Kakinada-Kotipalli, Mahendralalnagar-Amta of Howrah, Hassan-Bangalore and Tilaiya-Jagdishpur.
