'Divestment differences won't affect NDA unity'Asserting that the differences over divestment would not affect the unity of BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, Union Minister of State for Communication Sumitra Mahajan has said that the divergence of views among Union cabinet members 'is a good sign of open discussion on such issues.' The issue was one on which a nation-wide discussion was taking place, she said and denied that differences in this regard would alter the 'feelings of alliance partners and individuals' in the coalition. The divestment process was initiated by the former Congress government and NDA had only followed it, she told reporters. Criticising the Madhya Pradesh government, she said: "It had failed to control activities of terrorists" and alleged that the Digvijay Singh ministry had "miserably failed to use central funds."
