Ficci delegation to visit China during May 9-16

Continuing its special thrust on China, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry is now gearing up to take a high-powered delegation to China from May 9 to May 16.

This will coincide with the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Shanghai.

Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha is likely to address the ADB session 'Asia 2015' on May 10 at the Shanghai International Convention Centre.

The other ADB sessions are: 'Doha Development Round: Implications for Developing Asia' and 'Corporate Governance in Asia'.

Ficci has also organised a corporate retreat called 'Demystifying China' to be held at Sozhou on May 12. India's leading corporate leaders along with their spouses will attend this.

The confirmed delegates include K K Modi, chairman, Modi Enterprises; S K Birla, director, Birla Group; A K Rungta, chairman, Rungta enterprises; O P Lohia, MD, Indo Rama Synthetics; Prashant Ruia, director, Essar group; P P Chhabria, chairman Finolex Cables Ltd, among others.

Ficci's secretary general Dr Amit Mitra will visit China once again on May 27 to represent India at the meeting of the Eminent Persons' Group.
