Sebi interrogates Zee chairman Subhash Chandra

The Securities and Exchange Board of India on Thursday called Zee Telefilms chairman Subhash Chandra for questioning in connection with alleged violation of Sebi regulations.

Chandra appeared before the Sebi investigating team on Thursday evening and was with the team for about 30 minutes.

Sebi chairman D R Mehta declined to share the details of investigations, but confirmed that Chandra was called for investigations by the Sebi's investigations, enforcement and surveillance department.

There were allegations against the Zee Group for alleged connection with the tainted stockbroker Ketan Parekh.
