Email this report to a friend

Heavy Industies and Public Enterprises Minister Manohar Joshi today told Suzuki Motor Corporation chairman Osamu Suzuki to adopt dynamic market responses in view of the competitive automobile market in the country.

The government and SMC are equal partners in Maruti Udyog Limited.

Suzuki, who called on the minister, assured him that MUL is fully geared to meet the challenges arising out of changing customer preferences.

Efforts have been made to produce environment-friendly cars and to provide sophisticated and latest customer-friendly features in most of the models of Maruti while keeping the prices competitive for meeting requirements for all segments of the market, he said.

Suzuki also expressed confidence on further penetrating into the sophisticated Indian automobile market with the launching of the Wagon-R and Baleno.
