Rediffmail Alerts from Rediff.com allows you to receive Rediffmail alerts on your mobile phone in the form of a SMS text message provided you register your mobile number on which you wish to receive the Rediffmail alerts. You acknowledge and agree that mobile phone number you are using to access Rediffmail Alerts will be registered by you with Rediff.com. Rediff.com does not guarantee that Rediffmail Alerts will be accessible at all times and be fault-free. You will not be able to use Rediffmail Alerts if your mobile phone account you are using to access Rediffmail Alerts is suspended or disconnected, either temporarily or permanently.

Rediff.com reserves the right to terminate the Rediffmail Alerts or your access to Rediffmail Alerts at any time without prior intimation. Rediffmail Alerts is subject to Rediff.com's network capacity restrictions. Rediff.com reserves the right to alter or modify Rediffmail Alerts without notice to you, including the exercise of Rediff.com's rights.

Your mobile phone/ wireless operator may charge you for every SMS text message while you use Rediffmail Alerts irrespective of whether the message is successfully delivered to, or received by you. You are advised to please check the rates with your mobile phone / wireless operator. In the event your connection gets disconnected for any reason whatsoever, you are advised to disable the Rediffmail Alerts. Rediff.com will not be responsible if you are being charged for the Rediffmail Alerts by your mobile phone operator even after your connection is disconnected.

Rediff.com does not screen or censor any message that you may receive and expressly excludes all liability to you for any breach of any express or implied Term.

Without limiting any other terms, Rediff.com will not be liable for any claim, loss, or damage arising as a result of:
(a) your use of the Rediffmail Alerts;
(b) a message not being secure;
(c) the content of Rediffmail Alerts messages you access;
(d) a failure to deliver a Rediffmail Alerts message in a timely manner;
(e) any failure of Rediffmail Alerts to be continuous or fault-free.
(f) any charges that may be levied by the Mobile Phone Operator even after your connection gets disconnected.

This service is brought to you as a matter of personal convenience and for non-commercial purpose. You agree that you are using the service/site at your sole risk.

This agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India without giving effect to principles of conflict of laws. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. Rediff.com's failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive its right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. This Agreement sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and Rediff.com.

This site is created and controlled by Rediff.com in Mumbai India; as such the laws of India shall apply; courts in Mumbai shall have jurisdiction in respect of all the terms, conditions and disclaimers. Use of the Rediff sites/services is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation this paragraph. You agree to indemnify and hold Rediff.com, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers and employees, harmless from any claim, demand, or damage, including reasonable attorneys' fees, asserted by any third party due to or arising out of your use of or conduct on the Rediff sites/services, breach of these Terms of Use and/or any breach of your representations and warranties set forth above.
