Rediff.com India Limited contest Terms and conditions The contest is valid for residents of India only. The terms and conditions contained herein and the terms of Contest Announcement (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") apply to the contest by Rediff.com India Limited ("Rediff.com"). You agree to abide by the Terms in its entirety. If you do not agree to any of the Terms you should not use this service. Rediff.com reserves the right to modify the Terms at any time. You agree that you are legally capable to enter the Contest and agree to the Terms and that you are competent (i.e. you are of sufficient age and mental capacity) and eligible to enter into legally binding agreement or your parents have consented to your entry of the Contest and use of these Rules. Rules specific to each contest are displayed on the web page posting for such contest (the "Contest Announcement"). In the event of discrepancy between these terms and conditions and the Contest announcement, the Contest announcement shall prevail. To participate in the contest you need to send the keyword specified, in the contest announcement, using your mobile phone to 57333. Upon receipt of message from you, it is presumed that you have understood and accepted the terms and conditions and have agreed to receive the contest question. The answers to the question would have to be selected by you from the options provided with the contest question. You should send the option selected to 57333. Rediff.com shall conduct lucky draw to announce the winners for the contest. The winners will be determined as per terms specified in the contest announcement. The winners shall be intimated through SMS message on the given mobile number. Rediff.com will conduct the lucky draw as per its choice. Rediff.com shall not entertain any questions, correspondence, enquiries on the manner of conduct of the lucky draw and the contest itself from any party whatsoever. The winners shall win prizes as announced by Rediff.com. The selection of prizes is as per the sole discretion of Rediff.com. Rediff.com reserves its rights to modify the terms and conditions of the Contest, prizes, etc., without notice to the users. Rediff.com reserves the right to cancel any part or all of the prizes. The winner must claim his/ her prize within 15 days of the announcement by Rediff.com through SMS and on Rediff.com's website. In case the prize is unclaimed by the winner within the stipulated period, then Rediff.com reserves its right to transfer the prize to the next winner chosen in the same draw. The first winner automatically surrenders his/ her right to the prize and shall not make any claim thereunder. Additional eligibility requirements may apply to a specific contest for e.g. a valid passport, visas will be required if the contest prize includes travel outside India. Rediff.com reserves the right: (a) to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions. (b) to decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected in the event any entrant is disqualified from the Contest. (c) to require written permission from the parent or guardian of a winner who is under the age of 18. Rediff.com shall not be responsible for:- (i) any SMS message delivery failures; (ii) for any SPAM generated messages; (iii) for the Operator code not being displayed on the user's mobile phone; (iv) any lost, late or misdirected computer transmission or network, electronic failures of any kind or any failure to receive entries owing to transmission failures or due to any technical reasons and (v) other conditions beyond its reasonable control. You may be charged by your Mobile Phone Telecom Operator for every SMS message sent by you through the mobile phone for the Contest. You agree and acknowledge that this charge is your liability alone and that Rediff.com is not responsible for the same and you will not have any recourse to Rediff.com for the same. The winner shall be responsible for any additional, incidental expenses required to be incurred to avail of the prize. All taxes, insurances, transfers, spending money and other incidental and related expenses as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. The winner will be required to provide certified proof of identity and residence, if any. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable, subject to availability and there will be no cash alternative. Rediff.com will not be liable for any damage or loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from personal injury or death, or loss of, or damage to property, which is suffered or sustained in connection with the contest or the prize, except to the extent that the liability cannot be excluded by law. These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
