USIEF fellowship for teachers

What: United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) announces a new fellowship -- the 2009 Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching -- for Indian school teachers, administrators and academic coordinators. Participants will be placed at a U.S. university from late August to mid-December 2009.

The host university will provide a broad range of resources in the teachers' fields of teaching expertise and in addition, the participants may enroll in graduate level classes and conduct research.

Who is eligible

The programme is open to full time Indian teachers teaching any subject at any level (primary, middle or secondary) at a school in India with at least five years experience, and is also open to Indian administrators/academic coordinators who spend at least 50% of their time in classrooms.

Important date

The application deadline is February 15, 2009
