What: Applications are invited for the award of Commonwealth Split-site Doctoral Scholarship for the academic year 2008 offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom. Scholarships are available in all disciplines including Medicine and Dentistry.
Eligibility
~ Citizen and Residency: Candidate should be citizen of India.
~ Qualification Requirement: Hold, by 1st October 2008, a first degree of upper second class Honours standard (or above) or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
~ Duration: 12 months
~ Effective date of award: The Scholarship will commence from 1 October 2008 in UK. Other details of the scholarship alongwith prescribed application form are available in all University/Institute/UGC Regional Office and UGC Headquarters, New Delhi (IC-II Section, Room No. 505). ~ Eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed format duly nominated by Vice-Chancellor/Executive Head of the University/Institute alongwith office seal. Direct application from the applicant will not be entertained.
~ The applications complete in all respects should reach the UGC office in New Delhi on or before 8 November, 2007 addressed to Mrs Sushma Rathore, Section Office (IC-II Section), Room No. 505, University Grants Commission, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi-110 002.
