The inaugural show of at the India Fashion Week in Mumbai got off to a sparkling start with designer Vikram Phadnis showcasing his 60s-inspired Autumn-Winter creations.
Models sporting striking hairstyles and black painted masks walked the ramp in exquisite Victorian-style dresses and black stockings.
Adding the necessary sparkle was diamond jewelley by Asmi, D'damas, Desire, Gili, Sangini and Nakshatra.
Black, grey and white were the predominent colours of the collection, which was teamed with black leggings and high heels. Materials like black velvet glazed with ethnic motifs, pleated skirts and tops in candy hues dominated the collection.
Aiming at a Gothic look, Vikram opted for masks so that the focus was on the jewellery.
Closing the show were three Bollywood actresses and brand ambassadors of Gitanjali jewellery, Perizad Zorabian, Geeta Basra and Minisha Lamba, all dressed in black.
