What: University of Mumbai invites applications for the post of Reader in experimental physics

Details:

~ The post is open to all eligible candidates and will be filled by August 27

~ The pay scale of the post is: 12000-420-18300

~ The university will make the appointment initially for a period of five years on the recommendation of the selection committe. The selected candidate will be on probation for the period of two years.

Qualifications:

~ Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work.

~ Candidate should possess at least 55% or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter Grades ),A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level.

~ Five years of experience of teaching and/or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the Research Degrees and has made some mark in the areas of Scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.

~ Preference will be given to a candidate who has done outstanding research work in the area of Gamma-ray Spectroscopy with Multidetector Arrays and is familiar with analysis of mulparameter data using a Linus platform.
