das asked, Can you please tell me which are the reputed science colleges in Mumbai for Class XI?
CHANDRA BALI answers, There are a number of good science colleges in Mumbai. The most reputed are Ruparel, St Xaviers, Jaihind and Mithibai.
prandan asked, If I want to do a bachelors degree in banking and insurance, which are the universities that offer the course? Are there any correspondence courses available?
CHANDRA BALI answers, The Mumbai University offers such a course. You could visit the university and make inquiries about this and other related courses.
rohit asked, What is the scope of commerce without maths?
CHANDRA BALI answers, You can do banking and insurance, accounts and finance, CS and later go for management,law.
Hebbar asked, Is it possible to get into engineering or medicine after doing commerce?
CHANDRA BALI answers, No. Only a student who has taken science in Class XI and XII can get into the engineering or medical field.
Ravi asked, I am preparing for the MBA tests, but if I am unable to get into a good college what should I do?
CHANDRA BALI answers, There are a number of colleges that offer students diploma courses in the management stream. Find out which colleges are offering such courses in your city/ state and apply to them.
suresh asked, Do I need to get a masters degree to get into the civil services?
CHANDRA BALI answers, No, a masters degree is not a necessity. You can get into the civil services after your graduation.
rprp asked, I have scored 90 per cent in CBSE and took up commerce. I wanted to know whether I could do BCom as a regular student along with CA article training.
CHANDRA BALI answers, Yes, you can do both together.
rohit_leo asked, My sister is expecting her results for Class 10 from Maharashtra. She wants to get into journalism. Should she take up science, commerce or arts?
CHANDRA BALI answers, Arts is preferable. A bachelors degree in English literature will help her. She could even earn a bachelors degree in mass media (BMM).
rich asked, I want to join the police force. Please advise how.
CHANDRA BALI answers, To get into the police force you will need to take the civil services examination.
manpreet asked, I've passed the Class 10 exam with 69.2 per cent and I am interested in doing arts. What subjects should I opt for so that they are helpful in future?
CHANDRA BALI answers, Choose your subjects based on your interests. Psychology, political science, English literature and economics are some of the subjects offered in arts. You can major in the subject that most interests you; with hard work, you can build a successful career.
sanjay asked, I have passed the Class 10 exam and dream of becoming a astronomer (who monitors the movement of stars). How should proceed by study towards that goal?
CHANDRA BALI answers, You could take up science and then go on to pursue a PhD in astrophysics, astronomy or physics.
isudhir asked, My son will score 70-80 per cent in Class 10. He is good at computer animation, what are the career options for him?
CHANDRA BALI answers, He can do a communication design course from NID after completing his 12th. There are also a number of short-term courses in graphics and animation that he could do. There is a lot of scope for such skills in the entertainment/ media industry.
sreedhar asked, Which one is better -- CA or MBA?
CHANDRA BALI answers, Today, both hold relevance in the job market.
Sakhib asked, I would like to do a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. What is the scope after completing a diploma course?
CHANDRA BALI answers, Once you complete your diploma, the best thing to do would be to go for a degree in engineering.
rajaganesh asked, Is mechanical engineering a better option or electronic engineering?
CHANDRA BALI answers, Both streams have equal scope and a career in either could be quite lucrative. It all depends on where your interest lies and the effort you put in.
