Based on the latest Get Ahead poll, we invite our readers to post their thoughts, opinions and experiences with regards to the following question:
Do you think colleges should enforce dress codes on their students?
There are several institutes of higher learning across the country that make it a point to impose rules when it comes to students' attire. Jeans, sleeveless tops and miniskirts for girls, and slippers are usually banned, while a slightly more formal approach is appreciated when it comes to clothing.
Are college-going students young adults who should be allowed to make their own choices without any interference? Or are colleges justified in demanding that a certain level of decorum be maintained by way of attire, given that they are institutions of learning?
