Uniforms are out. Plain clothes are in.
No more tiffin boxes; the canteen is where you head to tackle your hunger pangs, hang out with your pals and, generally, be SEEN.
Teachers are referred to as lecturers and lessons as lectures.
These are just a few of the changes you can expect when you finish 'going to school' and start 'attending college'.
But, besides the external trimmings, life in college is still very different from life in school?
We invite collegians to shed some light on these differences -- for the benefit of those who will go to college for the first time next month.
Were you terrified on YOUR first day in college?
Did you spend days deciding what to wear?
Did you get ragged?
Was the sudden brush with freedom too much to handle?
Did you spend more time in the canteen than class?
How did your lecturers compare with your schoolteachers?
Did peer pressure receive a whole new meaning when you stepped into college?
Was college everything you expected?
Tell us all, please!
