What: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has introduced online booking of tickets for superfast trains departing from Chennai.

How to book

~ Log on to http://www.irctc.co.in/.

~ Select 'e-ticket' in the 'plan my travel' page.

~ Provide any of the following details belonginf to any one of the passengers for the purpose of indentification:

• Voter identity card
• Passport
• PAN 
• Driving licence 

~ You have to pay Rs 40 over and above the ticket price for an e-ticket.

~ You have the following payment options:

• ICICI Payment Gateway (for Master/Visa Credit cards issued by any bank)
• ICICI Bank Direct Debit

• IDBI Bank Direct Debit
