T

hey share the same last name.

But not many people in the audience recognised the unassuming man who won the Olympic silver for shooting in 2004.

"No, we are not related," he hastens to clarify if anyone asks.

Lieutenant Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who was awarded the Padma Shri earlier this year, was spotted at Raghavendra Rathore's show at the Lakme India Fashion Week 2005.

"I haven't attended many fashion shows," says Rathore. "I have been to one in Mumbai, and maybe a couple more. But this is the first time I have been to one of Raghavendra Rathore's shows."

A Raghavendra Rathore creationHe was wearing: A cotton printed white shirt and white linen pants, and looking very savvy and very fit!

His thoughts on Indian fashion: I don't keep in touch with the fashion scene. I only browse through fashion magazines once in a while.

I think Indians are as talented as anyone else in the world.

Indian models, especially. They can carry off Indian as well as Western wear with such élan. It's great to see that.

About the collection: I loved it. I loved all the clothes. I could have worn all the clothes he showed!
