That's what you know of Shane and Falguni Peacock, right?
Well, at the LIFW this year, you will see a new avatar of the duo.
And this is what they have to say about it.
The look: Bohemian meets city chic.
Why? Because Bohemian is in.
And we like to keep up with the trends. It's a whole there-but-not-there experience.
The colours you will see: Purples, navy blue, delt blue (almost royal blue), wine.
Unlike the previous year, the colours we have used are deeper and richer.
How is it different?: You will see a lot of broken embroidery. It is not clean.
And that's the beauty of the clothes -- the rough, rugged embroidery.
The staggered, uneven hems.
Watch out for these fabrics: Knits, velvet, net, gauze, chiffons, georgette, etc.
The emphasis is on a soft, flowing and mix-and-match drape.
Who is it for? The young, but mature person.
Fashion is: Your attitude.
Don't be a fashion victim.
Don't be a slave to trends.
Wear what you are comfortable in.
What is in right now: It really depends on what you like. What you can carry off.
~ They say capris are not in. But we see many people carrying off capris beautifully.
~ They say short skirts are not in. But look at her (pointing out to a model). She's wearing it and she looks great! So it all depends on your attitude.
Go for prints this season. Animal prints, especially, are very hot, very in.
Also, scarves, capes, cloaks are very in. Use them!
The colours we have used are the colours we think are in. So that's our forecast!
Tips you can use:
~ If you have the figure, you must own a slip dress.
~ Mix animal prints and solids this year.
~ Add glamour to your outfit:
i. Throw a scarf over your dress.
ii. If you have a bag, tie a scarf on it.
