Renee’s homework is called worksheets. She has these cute white sheets with cutouts of animals. She has to colour and paste them and complete sentences. I sit with her when she is doing them.

The things they put kids through at school nowadays! Every time I look at her worksheets I am, like, how can you do this to a five year old?

Right now, I send her to school just to have fun. Later, when it gets serious, it gets serious.

But I have to tell you, I don’t agree with this form of education at all!

Renee has a great sense of imagination, so she does everything very playfully.

I have the responsibility of making her give serious attention to her work, because that’s the only thing missing! So she does the playful part and I do the serious part!

She likes to paint, and whatever she paints becomes a visual memory for her.

When we write it down, it becomes serious. Till then, it is all fun and colours and drawings.

She has a little easel in her room. She put her little canvas on it and goes crazy!
