Court reserves orders on Salman Khan's plea

A Jodhpur city court has reserved its orders on an application filed by Salman Khan for recording evidence of a forest ranger in the Black Buck poaching case.

Khan's counsel Hastimal Saraswat moved an application in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate SK Mathur on January 24, arguing that since the forest ranger, Lalit Bora was also the investigating officer in the case, he should be heard in the last.

While reserving its orders, the court fixed March 12 as the next date of hearing the case.

The cine actor is facing criminal charges for hunting protected wild animals black bucks and chinkaras at Bawad and Kankani villages while shooting Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath Saath Hain, a Rajshree production.

The court also completed recording of the evidence of one Narendra Panwar who deposed that his resort's guard informed him the next morning and Yaspal and Dushyant, co-accused in the case, had brought the meat of wild animals and cooked dishes for the actor.
