He told media persons in Chennai that 3,300 booths had been identified as sensitive depending on the candidates in the fray, caste or religious conflicts in the area.
The Election Commission had issued notice to Jaya TV for telecasting some video cassettes without the prior permission of the committee constituted by the Election Commission, he said. No footage or video clippings making election propaganda would be allowed after the conclusion of campaign, he said.
He said, "Results of any opinion poll conducted at any time should not be published after the election campaign is over."
Any organisation conducting opinion poll should indicate the sample size and geographic spread of survey, Gupta said, adding that it should contain the methodology and percentage of errors.
