Victory for LDF in Kerala: Exit polls

Exit polls conducted by television channels have predicted a huge victory for the Communist Party of India (Marxist) -led Left Democratic Front in Kerala with the front bagging upto 100 out of 140 seats in the Assembly polls.

Indiavision channel, which conducted its poll jointly with AC-Nielsen, predicted that the LDF was likely to get 99 seats while UDF would get 40 and others one. Bharatiya Janata Party would not get any seat as per the exit polls. 

LDF would bag 52 per cent votes while UDF would be left with 40.6 per cent.

According to the exit poll results of Asianet and Hyderabad-based marketing research agency, March, the LDF was to get 90 to 100 seats while the UDF could get 45 to 55 seats.

Asianet exit polls also predict that BJP would not open an account in the state assembly this time. The LDF would get 47 per cent votes and the UDF 45 per cent. There would be a swing of 3.89 per cent votes in favour of LDF, the exit poll stated.

According to a survey conducted by CNN-IBN, the LDF will be a clear winner with 107 to 117 seats.
