PM in Kerala for two-day election tour

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ], arrived in Kochi Wednesday morning on a two-day election tour of Kerala [ Images ]. He was received at the airport by Union Minister Vayalar Ravi and other Congress leaders.

Dr Singh left immediately by helicopter for Perumbavoor, where he will be addressing an election rally.

From Perumbavoor, the prime minister will leave for Thodupuzha in the hill district of Idukki. Dr Singh, who will be staying overnight at Kochi, is scheduled to address a press conference on Wednesday evening.

He will be addressing election meetings at Pattambi in Palakkad district, Quilandy in Kozhikode and Iritty in Kannur district, before leaving for Delhi [ Images ] from Kozhikode.
