Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has accepted India's invitation to travel to India to watch cricket in the ongoing India-Pakistan series.

No decision has yet been taken, however, on which match the general would witness.

Pakistan's Minister for Information Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed told PTI from Islamabad that he received the invitation from
Indian High Commissioner Shiv Shankar Menon on Thursday and forwarded it to President Musharraf.

"Only after going through president's schedule, will we be able to confirm to the Indian authorities which match President Musharraf will watch," Rasheed said.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had on Thursday told the Lok Sabha that he had invited President Musharraf.

Musharraf will travel to India for the match with his family, but officials said he would also take the opportunity to discuss political matters with Indian leaders.

"Definitely, there is a possibility that Musharraf will discuss political issues when he meets Indian leaders," a foreign ministry official was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
