Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday made an impassioned appeal for the release of abducted Delhi Public School student Kislay Komal.

"I want Kislay back. I want my son back," he said while addressing a National Democratic Alliance rally in Bihar.

Vajpayee asked the people to bring down the Rashtriya Janata Dal government in Bihar accusing them of being insensitive to the security of the people.

"Bihar wants change. Bihar wants peace and security. Instead, it has got kidnapping as the major industry," said the Bharatiya Janata Party leader.

Vajpayee added, "Some people want to manipulate the outcome of the polls through money and muscle power. You (the people) have got the vote which can pave the way for a new Bihar."

He, however, maintained that for this to happen the people would have to rise above caste and religious considerations and "heed the voice of their souls".
