Police has registered a case against the ruling Indian National Lok Dal in Haryana for allegedly defacing walls in the Narwana assembly constituency, from where Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala is seeking re-election.
INLD workers had pasted posters earlier this week before Chautala's visit to file his nomination papers.
Official sources said the case was registered after the INLD failed to reply to the show-cause notice.
The police have also registered a case against the Bhartiya Kisan Union, led by Ghasi Ram Nain, for holding a public meeting in the local Anaj Mandi on Friday in violation of ban orders.
