The Rashtriya Janata Dal member of Parliament from Gopalganj and Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi's controversial brother, Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav on Friday filed a writ in the Patna High Court challenging the externment order against him during poll time.
The writ, filed by Yadav's counsel J P Shukla, challenged the validity of the externment order passed by District Magistrate K K Pathak asking him to stay out of Gopalganj from February 21 morning till the night of February 27.
Show cause notice to Sadhu Yadav
Sadhu Yadav has stated in the writ that there was no material evidence of his indulging in any unlawful activities in the district and still he had been ordered to stay out of the district for a week's time.
The matter is likely to come up for hearing on Monday.
Sadhu Yadav told to stay away from Gopalganj
Following the externment order, Sadhu Yadav left his Gopalganj constituency on February 21.
His wife Indra Yadav is contesting as an independent from Gopalganj assembly seat.
Another RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin has also filed a writ in the HC challenging District Magistrate C K Anil's order debarring him from entering Siwan district for six months.
The next hearing of his writ is scheduled for Monday.
