Around 12 per cent polling was registered till 10 am on Tuesday during the second phase of polling for 29 assembly seats which began in Jharkhand amid tight security arrangements, Election Commission sources said.
Voting was picking up in town areas while people were slowly turning up for voting in rural areas.
Polling was peaceful in all seven districts where elections are being held, the sources said.
Chief Minister Arjun Munda is among the 456 candidates whose fates would be decided on Tuesday.
