A two-day repolling will be held in Jharkhand from tomorrow in 76 booths that went for polls in the first phase of assembly elections on February three, official sources said.
Repolling in 21 booths spread over Barhi, Barkagaon, Mandu, Simaria, Chatra, Jamua, Gandey, Manika, Latehar and Giridih would be held on Sunday.
On February 7, the exercise would be carried out in 55 booths falling under Panki, Daltonganj, Bishrampur, Chattarpur and Hussianabad constituencies.
Polling was adjourned in these places for various reasons, like delay in polling by two hours, defective electronic voting machines and obstructions caused during the exercise, Chief Secretary P P Sharma told a press conference in Ranchi.
Recommendation for 20 more booths dotted in Bagodar and Rajdhanwar constituencies had been sent to the chief election commissioner. "But a formal approval is awaited," he said.
The second phase of the election is scheduled on February 15 and the final phase on February 23.
