Congress wins both by-polls in Delhi

Congress won both the assembly by-polls in Delhi [ Images ].
Rajesh Lilothia defeated his nearest rival Raj Mehra (BJP) to claim the Baljit Nagar constituency by over 6,000 votes. The constituency was earlier represented by Krishna Tirath [ Images ] who was elected to Parliament.
In Rajouri Garden constituency, Ramesh Lamba defeated Ramesh Khanna (BJP) by a margin of 3,649 votes. The constituency was earlier represented by Ajay Maken [ Images ] who was also elected to Parliament.
