SAD to attend Manmohan's swearing-in

The Shiromani Akali Dal [ Images ] will attend the swearing-in-ceremony of Congress leader Manmohan Singh [ Images ] as prime minister.

Former Union minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and the party's general secretary, Sukhbir Singh Badal, will attend the ceremony on behalf of the party, SAD president Parkash Singh Badal said in Chandigarh.

Congratulating Manmohan Singh, Badal said, "His success will depend on the extent to which he is able to undo the massive damage done to the national polity by the Congress."
