Around 50-55% turnout was recorded in the second phase of polling in 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar on Monday.
The day was marred by violence, in which two persons were killed, scores injured and a minister, Udit Rai, escaped unhurt in an attack.
Authorities even ordered the detention of a candidate and legislators, including Chief Minister Rabri Devi's brother Sadhu Yadav, as they were found moving suspiciously.
Among those in the fray were Rabri Devi's husband and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, Defence Minister and Janata Dal-United president George Fernandes and Lok Janshakti Party boss Ram Vilas Paswan.
