Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, who was operated upon on Sunday night at the Bombay Hospital in south Mumbai, for a spine injury he suffered in an accident, is now stable, a doctor attending on him said.

"Jogi is stable and all his health parametres are fine and [he] is semi-conscious. Only by afternoon we will be in a position to tell how he is responding to the surgery," Dr Devpujari, a neuro-surgeon, told PTI.
A team of five doctors headed by Dr Devpujari operated upon Jogi for over three hours.
Jogi will be on ventilator till Monday night , Dr Devpujari said.
Jogi was injured when his car crashed into a tree in his Mahasamund Lok Sabha constituency.
Chhatisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Mehttar Lal Sahu and Jogi's driver were also critically injured in the accident.
