Under attack for his remarks on Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has likened the heat of election campaign to a nail-biting cricket match and promised to 'maintain line and length'.
"When a cricket match reaches the peak of excitement, it is possible that a wide ball or a no ball is bowled. Similar is the case when an election campaign is at its peak. But in future, I will see to it that I maintain line and length so that my opponents do not get any chance (to criticize me)," Modi told NDTV's Walk the Talk programme, a party release said in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
The programme will be telecast on April 10.
