Aziz Qureshi, former state minister and member of Parliament, is a Congressman from the old guard. He wears a Nehru topi, has great respect for Panditji (Nehru) and says the greatest man to ever be born in India was K Kamaraj.

"Once Kamaraj went to a village and saw there was one hut which had no electricity. He went and asked the lady why she was sitting in darkness when the whole village was lit. She replied the electricity board was not processing her application. So Kamaraj sat with her and told his associates he would not leave the hut till it was electrified."

"Such was his greatness," says Qureshi, who has been persuaded by Digvijay Singh to use a cellular phone for campaign coordination. "This is the first time," he laughs.

Under framed pictures of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Sonia Gandhi, he gives a brief description on why the Congress should win.

"This election is about Vikas versus Vinash -- Progress versus Destruction. The BJP personifies destruction. Moreover, sanyasins (Uma Bharti) should go to the Himalayas, not to (the state secretariat) Vallabh Bhavan!"
