Shekhawat's kin in Vasundhara Raje's ministry

Vasundhara RajeBJP leader Vasundhara Raje was on Monday sworn-in as the first woman chief minister of Rajasthan [ Images ], in Jaipur [ Images ], along with a small team of nine ministers.

Raje had on Sunday discussed formation of her first ministry with the party's central leadership in Delhi [ Images ]. Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's son-in-law Narpat Singh Rajvi will be part of her team.

Governor Kailashpati Misra administered the oath of office and secrecy to Raje at a glittering public function by in the presence of Union Finance Minister Jaswant Singh [ Images ], chief ministers of BJP-ruled states of Gujarat (Narendra Modi [ Images ]) and Goa [ Images ] (Manohar Parrikar [ Images ]), and outgoing chief minister Ashok Gehlot [ Images ]. The function was held outside the state assembly building.

Eight cabinet ministers and a minister of state were also sworn in along with Raje.

BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu, general secretary Pramod Mahajan [ Images ], Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Sahib Singh Verma were also present at the function.
