Vasundhara Raje to be Rajasthan chief minister

The Bharatiya Janata Party's [ Images ] Rajasthan [ Images ] unit president, Vasundhara Raje, was on Saturday elected the party's legislature unit leader.

She is likely to be sworn in as the state's first woman chief minister on Monday.

Newly elected BJP legislators met in Jaipur [ Images ] on Saturday and elected Raje their leader.

Union Finance Minister Jaswant Singh [ Images ], BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan [ Images ] and Information and Broadcasting
Minister Ravishankar Prasad attended the meeting as central observers.
