Terrorists try to target Mehbooba
Mufti's motorcade

Terrorists on Friday tried to target a motorcade of Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party on the Doda-Marmat road, sources said.

The terrorists triggered an improvised explosive device, which exploded around 1440 IST, much before the PDP motorcade led by its vice president Mehbooba Mufti passed.

No one was injured, they said.

Later, Mufti addressed an election rally at Marmat around 1530 IST and returned to Doda, the sources said.

The fourth and last phase of polling in the state is on October 8.
