The opening match and the formal inauguration of the second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is to be held in Mumbai on April 10, IPL sources said.
As per the original schedule issued by the organisers of the T20 league, Jaipur was to host the inaugural ceremony and the opener between first edition winners, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils.
But the schedule had to be reworked following security concerns in the wake of the terror attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team in Lahore and clashing of tournament dates with the general elections.
The revised schedule will be announced later, IPL sources said.
