After becoming only the second bowler in international cricket to take 500 one-day wickets and help his team thrash Pakistan in the third ODI, Sri Lankan spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan on Saturday warned Indian batsmen of a tough challenge when they visit Sri Lanka next week.

"India is one of the best sides in the world and I am looking forward to playing against them and get revenge as the last time they beat us in the one-day series," Murali said in Lahore after scalping two wickets in Sri Lanka's huge 234-run win in the final ODI on Saturday.

India had toured Sri Lanka last year and were beaten in the Tests but won the one-day rubber 3-2.

Murali, who now needs three wickets to surpass the world record tally of 502 ODI wickets of Wasim Akram, said he would love to get this milestone in front of his home crowd and specially against India.

"It would be nice but for me and for the team, milestones are not important then winning matches," he said.

Murali said he had set no targets after becoming the first bowler to capture 500 wickets in both forms of the game.

"No targets for me. I play to win and if the milestones come along it is good and I feel proud as a Sri Lankan. But I don't look at targets," he said.

The champion off-spinner said he was enjoying every moment of the game and would want to continue playing till the 2011 World Cup.
