England's [ Images ] Chris Broad was on Wednesday named match referee for India's [ Images ] one-day series against Sri Lanka [ Images ], starting later this month.

South Africa's [ Images ] Brian Jerling has been named the on-field umpire.

Jerling will stand in all the five matches along with local appointments, the ICC [ Images ] said in a statement.

The five-match series between India and Sri Lanka gets underway in Dambulla on January 28.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Roshan Mahanama will oversee the five ODIs between Australia [ Images ] and New Zealand [ Images ], starting February 1.

Controversial West Indian Steve Bucknor [ Images ] will stand in all five matches with local appointments.
