With a whopping Rs 303.15 crore profit they earned in the year 2007-08, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tops the SportzPower Money List rankings for being the most influential sports entity.
The rankings have been made on the basis of the entities' financial clout and their influences on sporting arena.
The top-10 list places liquor barron Vijay Mallya at number two, followed by Essel Group chairman Subhash Chandra, Sony Entertainment Television, Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan, ESPN Star Sports, Nimbus CEO Harish Thawani, Emerging Media, Cyrus Poonawala and Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd.
