South African Tyron Henderson made a big impact in the IPL Players' Auction for the second season when he was sold for more than six times his starting price in Goa on Friday.
Henderson, who has played just one Twenty20 International, was purchased by champions Rajasthan Royals for a whopping US $ 650,000 against his base price of $ 100,000.
The 34-year-old played a stellar role in helping Middlesex win the Twenty20 Cup last year. He is quite an useful bowler for the Twenty20 format with his ability to bowl tight overs in the death overs, while his explosive batting also serves as a huge bonus.
Royals went all out for Henderson after missing out on star all-rounder Andrew Flintoff in round one of the bidding.
